For Russian Life, this was a HUGE overhaul. Existing data for printed issues, contributors and more was scattered across multiple data[INVALID]s. The [INVALID]ive of the project, in addition to a clean and modern design, was to merge all data into Mura CMS content [INVALID]s for easier management and overall integration.

The overall design is [INVALID]d on components from the Unify Bootstrap 4 theme but we put a bit of our own spin on it.

Some highlights of the project:

  • Ads - Custom developed module
  • Lightbox Gallery -- Custom developed module
  • On This Day -- Custom developed module
  • Callout (Article) -- Drag/drop collapsible/expandable callout
  • 11 Collection Layouts -- With configurable options

Paul Richardson, Owner, also gives an overview of Russian Life and a high level view of what was involved in the project in this article.

Phase II over the project includes Slatwall ecommerce to further centralize all apps under one roof and add a paywall for premium online content. Currently the shop (calendars, books, etc.) and subscribers (print and online) are separate services with their own monthly expenses. Once we have Slatwall installed and the paywall established for the online version of the printed magazine the monthly expenses will be reduced ROI can begin.
